The 2026 Gemini Super New Moon will generally favor mental breakthroughs, innovation, & connecting with others through genuine curiosity & a desire to learn more about the world (which is sorely needed right now)!
This is the first of many Gemini lunations that will be co-present with Uranus, so there may be some surprises here over the next 7 years - prime for leaning into your whimsy!
Read on for an expansion of the planetary energies influencing this New Moon, as well as more prompts, tarot cards, & more recommendations to make the best out of the current cosmos.
On its own, the Sun & Moon in Gemini don't appear to be aspecting anything aside from a weak sextile to Chiron which is wrapping up its stay in Aries.*
*Note, I’m sure there are asteroids & other celestials or aspects that this lunation could be connected to, but they are not the ones I am aware of enough to be able to speak on at this time.
Chiron in Aries is also coming off a square with Jupiter in its exaltation in Cancer. This feels like growing pains that come from the limits & wounds of our own actions (or inactions) towards our agency in life. Awareness of these wounds allow us to arrive more humbly, which in turn allows us to approach others with authentic curiosity, leading to healthier mindsets & connections.

The ruler of this lunation is Mercury, which is currently in Cancer coming off of its squares with Neptune & Saturn, sextiling Mars in Taurus, & officially in its pre-Retrograde shadow (a.k.a. the zone which it will feel up for review in whatever area of life this hits).
If it already feels like we're in Retrograde season, it's because Mercury up to now has been squaring off with the fogginess of Neptune, causing all sorts of delusion & confusion. Existing comms may have failed the vibe check & plans may have fallen through.
On the heels of that frustration, Mercury's square with Saturn prompted us to make future connections with those who had more conviction behind their words & the reliability to back them up.
One door closes, & another opens.
Mercury & Jupiter both reward investment in intellect & an expansive mindset, so as Mercury leaves its square with Saturn & approaches Jupiter (the latter of whom just had a beautiful meetup with Venus last week), now is the time to commit to more optimistic thinking.
Jupiter is the traditional ruler of dreamy, idealistic, & collective-minded Pisces, while Neptune is Pisces’ modern ruler. While Venus in Leo is starting to oppose Pluto Rx in Aquarius, Neptune’s presence as a supportive intermediary has the potential for unconditional love & compassion to rise from Pluto's depths. Have the hard conversations.
Know that things that come up between now & August 6th will be given an opportunity for reflection & revision when Mercury officially goes Retrograde in Cancer from June 29th to July 23rd.

Practice affirmations to rewire your brain towards positive expansion. “Be the change you want to be in the world.”
Try mind-dumping throughout the next few weeks &/or practice some creative & chaos magick (see below)!
Start on that blog, book, poem, or song you’ve been meaning to create!
Join (or create) a group to play games with!
Mercury is a shapeshifter, so I recommend finding a roleplaying community &/or con: Cosplay, Tabletop, MMORPG, LARP, you name it!

EXERCISE - MIND DUMPING
(This can also be turned into a spell; read on for more.)
Grab a piece of paper & something to write with, or open a new virtual note doc
Set a short timer - such as 3 or 5 minutes
Write down all of your wishes. ALL OF THEM. Get silly with it! The goal is to fill up at least one page before the timer goes off.
If there's anything you hesitate in writing down, write them down anyway & mark them in a way (star, underline, circle, etc.) to revisit & reflect upon once the timer runs down.
Once the timer is up, it’s time to reflect:
What were the first few things that you immediately wrote down?
What were things you really wanted, but hesitated writing down? Why did you hesitate?
Notice when a desire felt/feels selfish; why was selfishness the feeling that came up? What is the root?
What is the through line between your wishes? Is there a recurring theme?
What actions can you take on any of these wishes to make them come true?
What wishes need further research &/or resources?
Be patient & compassionate with yourself during this process.
Do what you want with the raw list as the intentions & wishes have surfaced. You may choose to keep it or dispose of it entirely.

Gemini gives us choices, so I'll provide a lazy witch spell, as well as a more complicated one.
SIMPLE
Create an uplifting playlist!
Bonus points if the playlist has a bunch of affirmations as this is an act of magick in itself!)
Example: Stuff by Moonlight Scorpio like 123 AFFIRMATIONS
EXTENDED
Cleanse your space.
Options include but are not limited to: Envisioning a white light from your divine healed guides, lighting a white candle, smudging ethically, clearing the energies through sound, etc.
Sound bath options include clapping, drumming, wind chimes, a gong, & also having an uplifting playlist on in the background as you do this spell.
Do the exercise to mind dump your wishes on a page (paper, word doc, etc.) until the timer is up.

Create a collage or vision board around or inspired by your list. Venus is in Leo, after all!OPTION 2 - ONE THING
Choose one wish in statement form off your list & turn it into a sigil.Remove all repeating letters in your statement until only unique characters are left.
Create a symbol, sign, or sigil using these letters.
Apply this sigil anywhere you want a reminder of your commitment to your wish.
